Was at the wynwood art walk and knew the truck was going to be there. There are many food trucks and even more food trucks serving burgers but this is different. it had a different look and taste which made it stand out. The burger was decently priced and had seasonings that were unknown to me before, but it was wonderful. If you want burgers but not an average burger give this truck a shot.

Dear Latin Burger and Taco, I have always seen your black and fuschia food truck stationed at several of Miami's community events and food truck rallies, but yet I have never had the willingness to sample your food. It may be due to the strong army of followers lined up in front of your truck or just the fact that I can get a burger and taco elsewhere. However, when I saw your truck yesterday at the DWNTWN Miami Concert Series, I got in an experimental mood. Hmmm.. a Ms. Cheezious sandwich or a burger?! I was really torn between these two options, but since my friends were craving a burger, I decided to just jump on the bandwagon and finally order from you. It was really hard reading the large menu at the counter of your truck at night because it was so high and dark, but thankfully you had smaller menus at the basket stationed by the counter that I could read easier. After five minutes of tough decision making, I finally decided to order your burger beast because I was craving a burger and pulled pork sandwich at the same time. And lucky for me, it contained both a patty and pulled pork. However, I have to admit that I was left disappointed. First of all, the menu said it was $8, but then I was charged $9 which I gleefully paid. And when I finally saw my burger, it appeared rather small, and it was missing that something special--maybe it was missing spice or some sweet sauce, but I cannot give you more than a 3 because I was expecting some extra "pizzazz" from your food. No mind blowing expectations were met. It was just your typical burger. I would like to say that you staff is friendly though and helped each customer process their orders professionally. I am not sure if I would come here again. I see food trucks as a vehicle to offer meals that we couldn't taste anywhere else, and unfortunately, I feel I could have made this type of burger on my own. It left me feeling that I could have had something more. Oh well, Keith

This has been a very difficult review for multiple reasons. I like social media and enjoy Yelp but just can't understand some of the reviews and comments here and elsewhere ... Ill get to that after the review But first and most important, their burgers are second to none, they are juicy and have amazing flavor, texture and its all encapsulated by a very well thought out bun. They aren't trying to be anything other than what they claim. They aren't the "biker joint burger" or the $65 Kobe burger or some mutant foie gras infused creation at some 5 star Michelin rated restaurant. They took the time to implement an amazingly delicious burger blend mated that with chorizo to give this what is paramount to the best damned burger a good honest buck can buy you....AND they deliver it on a mobile vehicle and do it quickly and efficiently. It's a clean truck and the staff is nothing but friendly and helpful. Their fries are just the perfect copilot to accompany this burger on the food truck race of Miami. Ok you all get it the burgers are amazing and they have been consistent over the years. Ive been getting burgers here for years now and its every bit as good every time I manage to chase down one of their trucks. I never even thought to give this a review until I went to their new restaurant in Coral Gables. When I went there I have the same exact experience except I didn't have to eat it standing up or cuddled up in my car. I actually ate in a real chair at a table. I was happy then decided I would come home and write a review. Im not sure where these negative reviews come from. Im pretty rough at times with my reviews but I don't think any of them are unwarranted. Ive sometimes gone back twice just to make sure I didn't catch a bad day. I then made my way to Google. There it is... what I can say, looks like the cause What the hell is a Burger Beast? I've never done more research while writing a yelp review. I now know the entire history of this establishment and it actually gets me upset that these people are bashing this great icon of Miami and burgers. I feel many of the bad reviews on here and the burger beast bashing are all related. How can this Burger Beast be independent when they accept local advertising dollars???? It's funny because I even went to the way-back-machine to see if Latin Burger ever advertised on their site... NOT that I could find. Great Burger Beast reviews of people who support them with Ad money... YEP.. YOU....MY UGLY BEAST...HAVE BEEN CAUGHT! Granted some of your reviews are spot on but I think you just can't have independence of opinion since you not only accept advertising $$ but also have burgers named after you. Do I also sense that you're a freebie-meal-guy? Now change your tainted and twisted reviews and stop this burger hate. You know this burger is amazing. I saw your previous reviews. So what makes me like this establishment more after my research? Well, I totally respect anyone who gives back to the very community that supports them. I have read article after article about the owner and creator, Jim Heins. He actually created the food truck craze here in Miami. He campaigned for the round-ups and even provided space for the round-ups while promoting what is now one of our most interesting areas, Wynwood. Miami is a better place because of this man. Oh and did I mention he also gives homeless people jobs? We need more people like him. More businesses created by people like him. We as a community need to support this. Shame on you BURGER BEAST!!

I have seen many posts confused about food trucks and brick & mortars , Latin burgers and Latin *houses*... with burgers and so on. I can't say that the confusion surprises me. If it weren't for distinctive logos, I might be confused. Actually, I *might* be confused. I don't think I am... but I might be. In any event, what I am getting at is that it's too bad that in a city with so many options, it's a little cray cray that similarly named/themed venues exist. Miami... you've been warned (again). But if you're out and about (particularly out and about at an arty event) and see a pink and black truck, stop. Stop right there. If you want to collaborate and listen, that's up to you. But I'd advise snatching up a pulled pork sandwich and cheese fries. But... isn't this a burger truck? Should you get a burger? Yeah, (call me) maybe. But, if you feel like going to town on avocados, onion and cilantro piled into an overflowing, juicy and wonderfully seasoned pulled pork sandwich... well, you might just be a genius. And, who doesn't like looking smart. Fries are always good... unless you can put stuff on top of them and that makes them awesome. Put some cheese stuff on top of these and be awesome. I can't attest to what the truck offerings are like at each stop. All I can tell you is that if you are trying to get a mack on during Second Saturday and ball on a budget, look for the pink and black. The rest is up to you.

The Latin Macho burger was great! Fries were seasoned well. Got to meet Jim, the owner.

A middle of the day trip to the Design District led me to Latin Burger and Taco. They were set up in the parking lot of a local high school, and at the suggestion of Samantha L., we made this the second leg of our girls' lunch date. Yes, second - don't judge! The pulled pork taco was really good. The meat was really juicy and had good flavor. I also had a bite of their Machito burger (the smaller version of the Macho burger) and could immediately tell this burger had a distinct taste to it; it did not taste like a run of the mill patty. This food truck is not to be mistaken with Latin HOUSE Burger and Taco, which has a restaurant on Sunset Drive. I made the mistake of asking the guy why they didn't have the Mad Love Burger on the menu, and he gave me the 411 on the situation. All in all, decent prices and good eats - not bad!

Not impress at all!!!!! Slow service and a little over prices. Had the pulled pork tacos and they were small. Not coming back

Price were okay. The pulled pork sandwich I had here was good. Sadly it didn't give out much impact that I thought it would. Service was fine still. This one falls under the "average" list for my taste.

I caught up with Latin Burger in the Design District for lunch. They were parked in the lot behind EQ3/Bardot. When I heard they were heading into my work hood, I could barely contain my excitement. There wasn't much of a line when I got there, so checking out the menu and ordering were a breeze! I even got to chat a bit with the owner, Jim, while waiting for my lunch. I opted for the 3 Amigos Tacos, with the pulled pork tacos, as they came highly recommended by fellow yelper Ramon C. And they definitely did not disappoint! The pork was tender and cooked to perfect, topped with a little pico and a little guac, and it was perfection! 3 tacos was actually too much for me, so I saved one for a mid-afternoon snack. A great lunch for under $10! Now that's a steal! I can't wait to return and check out the other tacos, and the burger!

I love food trucks, especially ones run by a chef and with upscale food. I was a bit dissapointed by the turn out. While it was very good, it didn't blow by socks off like I thought/hoped it would. We had the 3 amigos to sample all 3 different tacos offered, along with the latin macho burger and fries and all of the sauces offered. The portions are rather small, i could have eaten it by myself and for $20 that is an expensive lunch for one. The fries a bit soggy, the tacos sparse in filling, but still good and be prepaired for a long wait the line tends to go on for days.

Pulled pork was okay, but I wouldn't do it again. To me, a carolina pulled pork sandwich must have the cole slaw on it. There wasn't anything else wrong, but it didn't stand out either. Need a better bun. Something that will hold up. Preferably toasted.

This truck needs to go back to basics. I'm talking waaaay back to when you learn, as a cook, that you have to use salt. The machito burger was thisclose to being good except that it was DYING for some salt! I liked the bread, I liked the sauce, but the caramelized onions and the beef were not seasoned even a tiny bit! Unfortunately, because of this elementary (just lazy?) mistake, none of the tasty flavors popped. I also tried the pulled pork sandwich which was sweet for my taste. I will give the macho burger one more try and hope they can find time to season the beef.

Ok so I finally decided to man up. I've been reading about the Latin macho burger and decided it was time to grab my cojones and finally try it. 2 patties of chorizo, chuck, and sirloin topped with oaxaca cheese certainly sounded like a delicious food coma waiting to happen. I was expecting to get an unmanageable behemoth of a burger, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the burger was not as big as it's name implied. It was probably similar in size to a double Shake Shack burger - well within my comfort zone. The mixture of chorizo and beef gave a great taste and a different consistency to the burger - it really reminded me of a Cuban "Frita", but it was a lot juicer. The bread was also soft and delicious. Definitely worth the $6. The staff was super friendly and efficient. They worked the tickets like experts which was great since the truck was packed. The wait was not long at all. I will stop here again to try the "Burger Beast" remix of the Macho (pulled pork on top) or to try the tacos.

3.5 Stars. My first experience with Latin Burger and Taco didn't go too well. The 3 Amigos (tacos) were a complete disappointment. Maybe it was a bad day,. as the meat tasted bitter. However, my first visit was not completely ruined as they offered fries as part of a special that day and these Cajun wonders were crispy (fried in peanut oil) and spiced to perfection. Currently, my visits to Latin Burger involve the Latin Macho Burger. Winner of the 2010 Burgie Awards top Burger in Miami-Dade county. Definitely worth multiple repeat visits with a side order of fries ($8.75 total). I would order water/soda, but for $2.00 a Pop... it's just not right. They are mostly around Biscayne Blvd. by Busy Bee or Shell Lumber down south on the weekends. They also show up to Marmol Exports in Doral for Lunch once in awhile, so that makes me happy as I can fulfill my Latin Macho craving (No Pun Intended). Give 'em a try.

Ok, everyone is flipping about this place and I wasn't impressed. The fries were over seasoned and just tasted like cumin. The burger wasn't really that flavorful, I also was expecting a meat patty and got a pork patty instead, but I guess that's my fault. The line was long and slow, but the service was with a smile, so they definitely get points for that.

Apparently the cupcake business is not the only new craze that is hitting Miami. Mobile food trucks are popping out everyday. Latin Burger seems to have a cult following. Have heard how good this place is by many many people. Never had it because I never followed them on Twitter or FB. One day I heard they were right by my job and missed them. With that said, I decided to friend them on Twitter. Heard they were at Kendall Car Wash and decided to swing by before heading to work. I am glad I did! The cult following is definintely true. There was a line but not something that will turn you away. The owner/manager/sales person was in the front and greeted every customer and asking them how they know of this place and other small talk. Now to the food. I had the pulled pork because thats the type of girl I am. I expected some smokey, bbq-ness sandwich when I ordered it but was surprised to open the foil to gooeyness. They mizzed the pork with one of their speciality sauces and veges and then slapped on a piece of cheese. All on sesame seed bun. I was very pleased with the outcome. The sandwich had a mild tang, which I loved. I can only rate it on what I ate, but if all their food is as good as what my sandwich was then I will definitely find them again.

I was at an college alumni event and we were reminiscing about the two food trucks on campus that used to ease our stomachs after a night of too much keg beer. The next morning, this inspired me to check if Latin Burger was going to be at Shell Lumber, because I knew it was time to give to it a try. Fate had it that this would be the day I finally tried Latin Burger. After reading many other reviews prior, I decided to go with the burger and fries. Maybe I will give the tacos a try, but honestly the reviews hadn't been too good. I got my lunch quickly and brought it back to my office to give it a try. The Burger - The two patties of beef were a little overwhelming at first because unfortunately they lacked some flavor. The chorizo was virtually unnoticeable in the patty. I ended up taking one patty off as it was just too much meat. The avocadolicious sauce was good but not spectacular and the caramelized onions added a nice texture. The Oaxaca cheese was also barely noticeable. Overall, the burger was good enough, but tasted much better burping it up over the course of that afternoon. Fries - Crispy, hot, and fresh, with plenty of cajun spice on them. Favorite part of the meal for sure. Diet Coke - $2 for a can of diet coke is completely unreasonable. My recommendation to Latin Burger would be to park off Washington Ave. from 12-5 am on the weekends. Like those food trucks in college, these burgers would be much better after a long night out!

I was fairly stoked when I found out Latin Burger was going to be in the area close to where I work, so I HAD to make the trip. I pulled up to the parking lot to find no line, which was a plus. Although I'd already heard good things about the pork taco from other Yelpers, I wanted to get a sampling, so I opted for the 3 Amigos. I could only eat two of the three tacos for lunch (the pork and chicken mole) and I was quite a fan of the pork. The other chicken tacos (chicken mole and chicken tomatillo) were both good. I definitely was a fan of the sauces that were included. Given the back story of Latin Burger, I definitely think it's a great concept. I just don't know if I'd go out of my way to plan a lengthy trip for the food - maybe if there were a few more menu options. But if it's in the area I'd go back. With that said I still think it's worth a try, especially for those who've never had their food on wheels.

I finally caught up with the truck one day, and had the signature Latin Burger. It consists of two 3.3 oz. patties of a mix of beef chuck, sirloin and Argentine chorizo, special seasonings, Oaxacan (Mexican) cheese, sautéed onions and jalapenos and a choice of either red-pepper mayonnaise or Ingrid's special avocadolicious sauce on a sesame-seed bun. The Johnson and Wales University student who was working the grill that day said the beef was 81/19. This was a seriously-good sandwich. The beef taste mixed with the spicy pork sausage bits was unlike anything I have had before, and they went great with the cheese and sautéed veggies. There is a lot going on in this sandwich, and it is all good. On another visit I got a chance to talk to the fellow working at the grill, and he put together a hot dog topped with caramelized onions, jalapenos, Oaxaca cheese, and "guachup". The guachup is a sweet and savory sauce based on guavas. I had some before for dipping French-fries in, but thought it a trifle too sweet for that. It worked great on the hot dog, complementing the jalapenos and cheese. Also, they grilled the roll. Another thumbs up. Next we get to the Tacos part of the food truck name. There are three types: 1. Pulled Pork - Pulled pork with chopped avocados, onions and cilantro 2. Chicken Tomatillo - Shredded chicken cooked in tomatillo salsa topped with avocado, scallions and cilantro 3. Chicken Mole - A house favorite topped with chopped peanuts with onions and avocado The Three Amigos special offered a discount for all three, so naturally I got that! These are made with soft, large tortillas. They are rolled-up and wrapped in foil, so the end effect is a lot like a burrito. These were very, very good. The big surprise for me was how good the chicken mole tasted. I have heard about mole sauce for years, and I thought it was cocoa-based. I also have tended to think of chicken tacos as some sort of dietary substitute for pork or beef. Not so here! I have since read that there are many "mole" sauces, some quite dissimilar. I don't know which kind Latin Burger and Taco uses, but the chicken was very rich and savory. There is also a pulled pork sandwich, "with all the fixin's". This is not a southern-style, BBQ pulled pork. It has a rich garlicky flavor, and is topped with the Oaxaca cheese used on the burger. Another thumbs up! I visited again to get a deluxe chicken sandwich, with sauteed onions and jalapenos, Oaxacan cheese, lettuce and red-pepper mayonnaise. Another hit! (this may not always be on the menu) Another new item I had was the portobello mushroom sandwich. This was a marinated and grilled portobello mushroom with sauteed onions and jalapenos and the Oaxacan cheese. I like these sandwiches so much that I bought one of each to take home! I've been aware of places offering grilled portobellos as a substitute for meat, but I never tried one. It works, and this version was very good. I highly recommend the food from this truck. The only disappointments I have had were when I arrive late in their cooking session, and they have run out of some items by that time.

Trying to maintain a figure is hard when you have food trucks like Latin Burger. Oh yummy, Latin Burger and Taco, how sinfully good you are! Latin Macho Burger with avocado sauce and fries is where it's at! I used to stop by on my way home from work whenever I wanted yummy not so healthy food. I wish they'd still make a stop at 84th and Bird or 65th and Bird but alas. Nevertheless, I will follow you anywhere in Miami, Latin Burger. You're just too yummy!

The burgers were tasty. It's really all in the beef patty - the chorizo mix definitely does wonders! PROS: + great tasting burger (thanks to the meat patty, caramelized onions, and sauces) + made fresh (could be a wait) CONS: - the buns aren't anything special - store-bought it seems? - $5.75 is a little hefty for a burger this size? A more filling and massive Colombian burger usually go for $5. I overlooked it though, since the patty is better than any other I've had in a Colombian burger. - the guy that handles money also touched the buns - for a "gourmet" truck, I thought it would be more sanitary - the guy that handles the money seemed a little amiss? He forgot my avocadolicious sauce. :( But the burger was good without it, regardless.

I endured a month of bootcamp in order to be able to indulge myself at the end and eat this so-called "succulent" burger I had heard so much about. Well, let's just say it was a waste of my hard burned calories! I agree with some of the other reviewers who say there's too much hype around this truck, thus making my expectations pretty high. They were finally around my neighborhood when they dropped by Shell Lumber so on Saturday my hubby and I treated ourselves to the Macho Burger. It's a combination of meats which include beef and pork, together with jalapenos (which I barely tasted), grilled sweet onions and their avocado sauce (which were quite yummy). They serve you two patties but I think it's way overpriced at $6.25 a piece for food out of a truck. As I bit into it, a wave of disappoint spread over my face. I found it lacked real flavor. It was very under seasoned and I found myself having to add more of the avocado sauce to make up for the lack of flavor. I asked my hubby what he thought because maybe I was being too critical and he said the same thing. The fries were nothing out of this world either. I haven't tried the tacos and I'm not sure I would. All in all, the burger was okay. Definitely not worth saving myself after enduring a month of bootcamp. I still think 5 Guys is the burger to beat...at least for me it is!! Now off to endure another month of bootcamp!

What qualifies as a good deed? For me that includes putting up with annoying relatives, sharing my food with wife, and not running over aggressive panhandlers. People like Ingrid Hoffman make me look bad. She also allows you to redeem yourself. I do not know how famous (all sorts of spots on Spanish TV, Despierte America and Simply Delicioso) or wealthy she actually is, but I know that she is heavily involved in giving back to the community. She's an avid supporter of Amigos for Kids ( amigosforkids.org ), often lending her name and checkbook to their causes, and now she's done LatinBurger ( latinburger.com ), a street food concept staffed in part by the homeless. Anybody who has a firm handle on cooking and feeding understands the great satisfaction and self worth that comes from providing sustenance and enjoyment to others, but enough with the sentimental crap. What are you getting? For starters, a kitsch and way clean food truck. Three cooks who show more respect and decorum than what you find in South Beach. The gloppy goodness of some street food. In style this (roving) place is the antithesis of The Gastropod. Where Gastropod delivers elevated street food in a throwback airstream trailer, LB delivering good straightforward flavors at better than average quality with lower than average prices. I tried the tomatillo taco (soft shell) and the Latin Burger with caremelized onions. Both were very good, though by the end of each, I wish they were a bit lighter on the sauces to let the flavors come forward better. I'm sure they will get that down in no time. The best part is, proceeds go to the vacant streets project, so I don't have to figure out whether I should give that panhandler growling at me my last small bill. Still have to share food with the wife. Interview with Jackie Sayet of the New Times: blogs.miaminewtimes.com/… Project Vacant Streets: projectvacantstreets.org

I think the best thing I say at Art Basil was the food trucks. I unfortunately see the start up with the food trucks to soon hit a wall, as the politicians in both Miami, and Miami-Dade County start to stick there wise industrious fingers in there business, and over-regulate (another word for corruption) them to death. I decided that the Latin Burger Food truck was the winner today, do solely on the fact I like the owner (not that I know her) Ingrid Hoffman, not in a sick stalker way......... maybe....nahhhhh, just kidding, but she has a certain quality about her that tells me she's, an ambitious, driven individual, with a pinch of venerability and a big dash of crazy. Definitely a person you'd like to have at your party, I don't think that she's a stick in the mud. Now for her food, I choose to be a pig today and by both the burger and three amigos taco. I didn't order the fries, that story later. I really liked both, although I didn't consume everything, I'm not that much of a pig. The Latin Burger has a back taste of chorrizo, I really liked that, it took away the taste of your regular ordinary burger, and for a double meat patty I found it substantial, The meat was fresh not overly salted, the caramelized onions were an excellent edition. it was a very good burger. The Tree Amigo's Taco was good too! However, I make killer taco's, and so does Rosita's in Florida City. The difference is when I make taco's I make a mess and Florida City is a mess. I liked the taco, tasty, well worth buying six more, cause I would have eaten six more. The fries, yeah I know the fried in peanut oil, which enhances the taste, but sadly I had the fries at the Four Season's in New York (yes I know expensive), but they also cooked there fries in peanut oil, then sprayed them with white truffle oil, slicing white truffles on top, and salting with black truffle salt, outrageously good, I'm ruined, to expensive to do in a food truck, but, it would compliment the burger! So I'm torn, yes I would defiantly come and find the truck again, the staff was friendly and the food was good! But, this is food that I'd like to eat at a permanent location, it would be killer at Black Point Marina, or in the Grove, I think it would be a good hang out restaurant, plus everything taste better with a beer, and last I hear it's bad form to pull into a parking lot, eat your taco, down a couple of beers, and drive away (not that it hasn't beeeeeeeen done), but I like structures.

I was driving down the road on my way to a restaurant when i saw this truck parked on the sidewalk. I turned around to get something light. I ordered the pulled pork taco for $3. It was pretty good but really small. much smaller than the pictures i just saw on this site. Maybe they were running out of the filling? The wait was kinda long. The sodas are $2 each? That's kinda expensive for a can of soda or a bottle of water.

Seeing the black and pink truck parked in the rear of the Shell Lumbar parking lot was out of a dream. With the grills just getting fired, Robert and the other workers were getting for their afternoon rush. While some people happened to just wander there, me and other Twitter/Facebook followers knew what we were in for. I got the Pulled Pork BBQ taco and snagged a couple of my friend's cajun fries. I loved it. With food coming out of a truck, you can't expect gourmet but this taco definitely hit the spot and was just what I expected! Would I drive all over time trying to scout this truck out just to get a meal? Probably not. But next time it's a few blocks away again, I may just have to head out and try the burger.

I've been here twice now, both times for lunch in the Shell Lumber parking lot. I felt very L.A., eating tacos from a truck in a parking lot under a blazing sun. The first time, I was first at the window, I pulled into the parking lot at the exact time the truck did. Ordered a Macho Burger, I did. I wanted it with the "avocadolicious sauce," and ordered with the dude in the window as such, along with a side of Plain Janes. The grill's fired up, mouth-watering aromas are beginning to waft from this absurd pink and black truck. A few minutes pass, and the guy hands me a brown bag containing my merchandise. I greedily opened it up and took a big bite....... ........and was instantly revolted at the mayo that had contaminated my otherwise outstanding burger. Wh..wh...where's the avocadolicious sauce? Sighing, I had flashbacks to Sunday afternoons after church as a little kid, when my grandparents would take me to Wendys or Burger King on Bird Road, I'd always order a hamburger or chicken sandwich with NO MAYO, and 3 out of 4 times I'd raise the bun in trepidation and see that nauseating white stuff. Very traumatic. Collecting myself, I instinctively reached for some napkins and commenced wiping the offensive substance from my burger, just as the 7-year-old me always did. Satisfied, I wolfed down the small burger, noting the interesting novelty of a patty made partly with chorizo. The Plain Janes were crispy and delicious - I dipped them in the house BBQ sauce. Next time I corralled the Latin Burger truck, I went for the tacos. There were no traumatic episodes this time. While I enjoyed all 3 different tacos, I preferred the BBQ pork taco with avocado and cilantro. The mole was my second favorite, with its mild chocolate nuttiness. The chicken tomatillo taco was a little plain, but it is the "healthy lite option," after all. It was still good, though, with the fresh avocado and salsa. Add more fire to that salsa, and it would be a winner. Needs fire. I never got to try the avocadolicious sauce. Frankly, I don't think it even exists.

I don't really know the name of what we ordered, but it was one of the juciest cheeseburgers I had ever had. It had swiss cheese, and caramelized onions, and the beef was juicy and seasoned to perfection, with special sauce, very, very, tasty. We also tried the shrimp taco, which was not on the menu, it was good, very simple, but just good, not great. I would go back for the amazing burgers, but probably not the tacos.

I was roused my sleep on Saturday morning by an offer of Latin Burger if I helped my friend pick up something from Shell Lumber. To be honest, I was more impressed with Shell Lumber. Ordered the Beast (which I have to assume was named after The Burger Beast), which is the burger with pulled pork on top. I felt the flavor of the pork overpowered any flavor coming from the burger: I couldn't taste the cheese or the chorizo. It was a decent burger, but it made me pine for the days A Chef's Burger was the best burger truck in Miami. I also think I've also been spoiled by Sakaya Kitchen's burger where the flavors mingle together to form the best burger in midtown. Nevertheless, I recommend trying them, but next time I'll hold out on my friends for an offer of Gastropod.

This used to be my favorite food truck. It's the one that got me started in the food truck craze. I'm never let down by the Machos and the fries but have been let down in the events they no longer choose to attend! Leave the politics behind and serve your customers!

I like the concept, gourmet eats served from a roving truck, but sometimes it misses the mark. In my first visit I tried the "3 Amigos". The pulled pork was decent but not amazing, the two chicken variants were just OK. I am a little confused on the name however, to me a "3 Amigos" should be chicken, pork, and steak... This is more like "2 Hermanos y un Amigo" On my next trip I tried the burger. I was a little disappointed, it was good but nothing worth noting. It was the end of their lunch run so I figured I got the "whatever was left over" burger. I enjoyed my fries more than the burger. My third experience was better, my Macho Burger had a lot more flavor. But my last experience was a little like my first two, just blah. The prices went up as well, the burger is now $6.25 and the tacos nearly $3 each. Have things gotten that expensive or has success gone to their head?

I went to this foodturck because another foodtruck (that should remain nameless) was closed. I was starving so I decided to come to latin burger. I ordered one of the tacos and a order of fries. The taco had peanuts in it and it sounds starnge but honestly it made the taco flavors truly come together perfectly. I hoenstly cant remember the name of the taco but just look for the one that has peanuts in it. I am giving this tuck 4 stars because the taco and cilantro and i reaaaaaally dont like cilantro and i feel in\t kinda ruined my taco, thank God for the peanuts. also the fries with the seasoning are really good.

OK the 4 stars, is because it's the best lunch truck I've eaten from in Miami - and yes- I know that's not saying much. and yes- I know i shouldn't eat off of the other ones, but i do and I'm still alive. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, or just sick i guess, but...anywho I really enjoyed the Latin Macho burger and yes- it is pricey for a lunch truck, but it is a combo of chorizo, ground sirloin and ground angus, with delicious Oaxaca cheese and red pepper mayo- so yes- i am willing to pay $6.5, since it is about a dollar difference from a fast food meal deal. Come on Yelps, it's still under $10. If you want a cheap burger, see aforementioned lunch trucks. I was a little disappointed that the oil was not hot (after a cleaning of the truck- who's cleaning at 7:30 dinner time?) and did not get to try the fries. The truth is the fries were just to be a delivery method for the"guachup" I wanted to try. Thank goodness (calorie-wise) we didn't get those after getting the double burger patty. The tacos - we tried one of each - were OK. the BBQ pork was the best of the three for me according to the formula: pork taco + BBQ sauce + girl from GA in Miami = fave. I do have to agree with some of the others that the chicken was bland and the sauce was not my fave, but just a personal preference. The short - I will walk back over to have the Latin Macho again and try the fries, but skip the tacos for the future.

What better thing to do on a lazy sunday afternoon then to head on over and track down this Latin burger food truck. I used my tracking device (computer/phone) and some advanced software (facebook/twitter) to find out exactly where they were hiding out. Today's location, 105th and biscayne at the busy bee car wash. This location is slightly north of 105th and biscayne, and they frequently come here. When they do arrive here, park in the lot with the kmart thats painted like a home depot which is slightly north of the car wash. Hearing some generally positive reviews of the burgers, i decided to play it safe and only order the burger and fries. I was lucky today, only 2 people in front of me, Ive heard of stories where the line gets very very long. When I arrived, the smell of the food truck hits you, and it is good. The Food: The Latin macho (ground beef with some chorizo in there and some herbs and spices topped with carmellized onions, available sauces are the red pepper mayo and the avacadolicious sauce). I ordered my burger with the avacadolicious sauce but im pretty sure they gave me a burger with the other sauce, no biggie it was still good. The first thing i noticed was how small the burger looked. Probably a little smaller or about the same as a 5 guys burger. BUT they double patty it so it does fill you up. The onions were sweet and the burger was juicy. At $6.25 it is pricy, this is more of a 5 dollar burger, but hey i guess Ingrid has a high royalty fee. The Fries ($2.50) were seasoned with crack, highly addicting stuff. My batch came straight out of the frier, very crispy and hot. They have a metal platform for patrons to eat on, I just brought it to my car and ate my food with the radio on. I would come here again because its pretty close to me. But like others have said, its not worth driving more then 30 minutes for. Just wait patiently until they come to you! I know they've been to Doral, Hollywood, North Miami, coral gables. I dont think they have been to Ft. lauderdale yet, but this truck is fairly new so give them a chance.

No matter how full I am at a food truck event, I make it a point to get my little hands around a mini macho burger. It's not as mini as it sounds - it's actually the perfect sharing size, especially if you truck hop like I do. Those onions are in my dreams - they are heavenly.

My favorite is the Macho Burger!!! Delish! Some say that the meat patty has to much pork flavor, but I find it just right. The fries are yummy and I have yet to try their tacos since their burgers are a weakness for me. The only complaint I have is the wait. Last Friday at the Tamiami Food Truck we waited an HOUR for our food. That had never happened to us before so we were really surprised....and really hungry and grumpy.

Oh my dear Latin Burger, how I love thee! The portobello mushroom burger is to die for. Just the right amount of gooey cheese, the mushroom itself is marinated perfectly, the pimento mayo is excellent, and the fried onions truly make the burger a stand out. The fries are also quite good, but I wish they had regular mayo for dipping instead of just the pimento mayo. Ketchup + Mayo + Fries is my thing. Sue me, I'm Canadian. It's how we do. Back to Latin Burger - I've been known to drive across Miami just to satisfy my random cravings for this delicious truck. Following them on twitter is simply a tease! All in all, TRY LATIN BURGER! You won't be disappointed!

Expect a long line for this food truck. THE GOOD The food was really yummy in my tummy. I had been waiting on my date for what seemed like an eternity to eat, so I ordered the Chicken Tomatillo Taco and the Latin Macho Burger because I have such a macho physique at a lean 5' 7''. It was only fitting. Chicken Tomatillo taco was very tasty. It really did not need any sauce; all the ingredients meshed very nicely. Well Mr. cilantro did steal the show a little. Latin Macho Burger was double stacked with meat and made just right. The bun was put on the grill and had a nice crisp to it. THE BAD As I approached the front of the line, I had noticed that I was going to be served by the "Sherminator" from American Pie. I started to ask people around me just to confirm my eyes were not deceiving me. Two girls burst out laughing and Maria A. gave me a "To-tally" response and at this moment I could not help to notice him glaring over probably realizing he was the butt of the joke. Thank you Sherminator you were a very kind, gracious cashier. Next time I will make a joke at the end of the line, so laughter does not resonate to the "Sherminator" as clearly. THE UGLY I offered a bite to my date, she gladly accepts and takes a bite. I blink an eye and half my burger is gone. Geez, who would have thought my petite date would be the devourer of my burger. What is worse the remaining meat fell on the floor and all I was left with was buns. Even though the burger was tasty, I felt slighted when I noticed there was not much red pepper mayo sauce or jalapenos on the burger like it advertised on the menu. In closing, seeing the "Sherminator" and having a good heart burger when I was hungry was well worth the long lines. Next time, I just need to account for the devourer of burgers and buy two.

Despite my quest to review every burger in town, I have been intimated by the name of this truck's claim to fame: the macho burger. Then I've seen/heard mixed reviews of it being an "ok" burger to the "best" burger. In light of this dilemma, I wimped out and got the tacos. Wrapped in an 8-inch soft flour tortilla, the tasty tacos (I had two) satisfied me just as much as those "snack wraps" from McDonald's. I tried both the Chicken Tomatillo and the Pulled Pork. For lunch, two tacos will not do for me. I can still remember the zesty flavor of the chicken tomatillo and I look forward to having two of those (for a snack) and foregoing the unmemorable pulled pork taco. And maybe next time, I'll add a "mini macho" burger to my snack taco.

I venutred to the Miami Street Food Court last night and tried Latin Burger along with a few others. WOW! I have to say that the burger was incredible. I only had a piece as I went with a small group and we ordered a few things from differnent trucks and tried a little of each. I really wished I had ordered from them at that moment. The fries were really god to. I saw a couple of reviews that weren't too happy with the fries but I enjoyed them. So, I guess it depends on your individual experience. I ate a chicken taco.. it was really tasty and for $3 I was impressed. The pulled pork taco was even better. All in all I had a great experience and I will more then likely return with my friends/family to share the find.

The Latin Burger and Taco Truck stopped on the UM campus one day for a "Food & Wheels" Fundraiser. So, the funds were at least going to a good cause, and that was another incentive to walk over and try some new foods. Ten trucks stopped for lunch to give us a little more selection than we usually have on an average day on campus. The trucks came around 11:30 and the lines grew tremendously within a half an hour. This seems to be a reoccurring theme every time I go to the food truck stops. The lines are really long and the wait is forever to get to the window. It really isn't that efficient. I don't understand why they cant send someone to take orders in the line periodically so that we won't have to stand in the hot sun and wait to get to the window. It really is discouraging in these events. At the window, I decided to try the pulled pork mini sandwich which was a smaller version of the regular size and share some seasoned fries with a coworker. The pulled pork sandwich had caramelized onions and cheese on a buttered bun that was pressed down and fried on the grill. This made the bun hard on the outside and not really easy to eat. The seasoned fries were good. But overall, I was kind of disappointed. The mini sandwich was definitely enough for me, since I usually don't eat that much for lunch but I think if I were going for a meal, it would of been too small. All the trucks are pricey, you have to expect that you will on average pay around $10.00 for a decent meal at the trucks. I would give it a try again. I always give a place two chances before I cross it off the list. It was nothing special for me.

"A 5-star food truck in Miami??? Impossible!" some might say. I tell you, it's my honest opinion that Latin Burger is the best thing going on in Miami's shallow food truck scene. Not only are the burgers freaking awesome but these guys are doing something GREAT for the local homeless community and for the lucky students from Johnson & Wales University that work the griddle. I have tracked Latin Burger down numerous times now.... usually the Shell Lumber location or the Gas Spot. It's kind of exciting to hunt for the locations the first time and always worth the drive. Although I've tried the tacos and enjoyed them too, usually I go for the Latin Macho Burger or the Burger Beast. Both are shining stars on the menu. Excellent ingredients, well priced and always fresh cooked to order. Oh yeah... the fries are really impressive too. The seasoning blend they use for the fries goes so well with a side of "guachup". This unique condiment is probably the last thing I would think of to put on fries because it is a little sweet, but man that stuff is surprisingly good to the last drop. My advice to everyone who is considering giving LB a try: Get out there and do it!

Ok wanted to like the truck since it's one of the first to come out and has had a great reputation. Wasn't impressed with the burger at all, greasy:( Fries were good but hard to mess those up.

It really sucks that I have to give Latin Burger a 2 star rating, but oh my word what a total disappointment! I first have to say I adore the idea of a truck roaming the streets of Miami feeding fellow foodies and being involved in a charity. It's refreshing to see something new like that be a success. After hearing so much about it I decided to follow them on Twitter to one day try them out. I finally caught up with them the other day in Brickell. When we arrived I was happy to see only a few people standing in line. My friends and I decided to try everything out, so we ordered 2 burgers and 5 tacos (2 tomatillo, 2 mole and pulled pork) and fries. We waited 35 minutes...35 minutes for burgers and tacos?! unacceptable! By the time I got the food I was so hungry I decided to eat it there as oppose to waiting to get home like originally planned. I took a bite of the first taco (tomatillo)and bit nothing but tortilla. OK, second bite, I got a little bit of chicken. C'mon this is a small taco and you would at least expect to get some actual meat by your second bite in...nope not the case. Third bite: finally! tasted the chicken and....it was totally bland. I was so bothered by the taco I grabbed another one to try out. I grabbed the mole taco and was equally dissatisfied. I ate it simply because I was starving, but it bothered me that it was also bland and sucked. Pulled pork taco was by far the worse one. I can't even explain how god awful it tasted. My friends commented that the burger was OK so I decided to take a few bites and it was ok...far better than the tacos for sure. It's on the small side which I found surprising. Out of everything I enjoyed the fries the most. They were seasoned well. I feel like a total ass. I hyped my friends about Latin Burger and in the end we wasted our money on food we hated. I will not be following LB anymore on Twitter nor do I care to give them another shot....sorry.

Went for the street food friday in downtown. Show up early so you can get seating. It fills up quick once lunch lets out. Got the 3 amigos 3 taco sampler with the pulled pork taco, chicken mole, and chicken tomatillo. pulled pork 4/5 def the best one of the three imo chicken mole 3/5 just not very distinct and really didnt like the peanuts chicken tomatillo 3/5 dunno if tomatillo sauce has curry in it...but yea a lil bit too much in the flavor try it out def gonna go back for the burger next time.

  • Mike S.

I can only comment on the tacos. The chicken tomatillo tasted like cheap chicken pot pie offered at hospital cafeterias. The pulled pork tasted like Heinz bbq sauce. Finally the chicken mole had no taste at all, however I did notice an unsettling raw peanut hidden inside. It is an abomination to the Mexican culture to call that mole. I rarely throw out food but I only had 2-3 bites of each and discarded the rest. Maybe the burgers are better but they only offer one burger with a double patty. Can you imagine Ingrid Hoffmann finishing that? Why don't they offer a single patty burger for the normal folks?

I guess all the hype about this truck is to blame for my star status here. Really, I found the truck to be between a 2 star meh and a 3 star a-ok. I mean, granted, its a food truck...how picky can we be?! But, i don't know, I just found that something...possible flavor...was missing from the food. We sampled EVERYTHING....all 3 tacos, the burger, and the fries. None of the tacos wowed me...the burger was pretty good, but not stellar either...it definitely didn't live up to the hype....and the spices on the fries were good, but come on...frozen fries?! How ab some fresh ones?! THAT would've wowed me...frozen fries did not. I was beyond excited to finally find this truck, but was not all too thrilled with the end result. Will I be back? Probably...I'm willing to give them another chance. Will I go crazy hunting down the truck via Facebook again though? Definitely not.

This fat kid at heart rejoiced when news travelled that the Latin Burger would venture west to my part of town! I got there just as the truck was pulling up and the crowd had already formed. We placed our orders and waited ever so patiently for our burgers and fries. After my first bite I knew I'd be following this latest food craze for the long haul! The sauce, the caramelized onions, the cheese this was a combination like no other. We are all familiar by now with this burger craze, but man this one was exceptional! Pair the burger with their Cajun seasoned fries and I was a happy camper! The cherry on top was the under ten dollar price tag! Pinch me, I must be in a foodies' dream!

I just don't know. In my quest to savor every meals-on-wheels offering in Miami, this one was just a-okay. It's safe to say Gastropod is still the best food truck I've tried thus far. I had the burger here and to be honest...it was a bit dry for me. I did like how chorizo was imaginatively thrown into the patty. The fries, on the other hand, are really good. Spiced to perfection, they trumped the burger. I will have to give it another whirl and try the tacos next for a final foodie verdict.

My husband and I ate their tonight using a Groupon I had bought. We had great service from our server Kevin and although the food was a bit slow coming out, he checked on us frequently and kept us posted. All of the food was delicious and the portions were huge. When we go again, an appetizer and one entree will be plenty for two. I especially enjoyed the burger - it was delicious.

Maybe my choice was wrong in first place... I ordered "fish taco" which was "special menu". Worst fish taco I ever had.... Almost NO veggies at all, No salsa. Only greasy overcooked (dried) tilapia was rolled inside tortilla wrap. They cost $10 for 3 tacos. Very cheap, but not worth at all. I was very excited when I saw a lot of people around the truck. I thought the truck must be the most popular one. But, actually, because they prepare food very slowly, people were just waiting for their food. For the worst fish taco and a OK burger, I waited for good 20 min. Burger was not bad at all. But fish taco was way too bad. Don't go for fish at Burger truck...

You know when people pump things up and your expectations go sky high, only to be shattered over and over again. Well, here's my story. I was jumping for joy when I found out Latin Burger was going to be in Kendall today. I rearranged my lunch plans to go here and was super pumped about it. Went with a coworker and we wanted to try everything, so we decided to each get a burger and also order the taco sampler to try them out. First off- this place is totally disorganized- you couldn't tell who was in line to order and who was trying to pick up their food. While waiting patiently in line to go up to the order window, I notice a gentleman taking orders from the people behind us in line. Wouldn't common sense indicate that you should start at the front of the line?!--- WHATEVER! He apologized, then took our order and handed it to the person behind the counter. The order/waiting for food process took about 35 minutes- which is quite ridiculous for what in essence is just....A LUNCH CART. Yes, I said it. Now on to the food- The burger was good, I must give it credit. It's 2 patties smothered in grilled onions with a little mayo-ey type of sauce--probably not worth $6.25, but quite tasty. The tacos, however, were a different story. They were so bland and borderline tasteless. Of the 3, the better one was the pork with the red onion and cilantro. To make matters worse, when my coworker bit into the chicken taco, there was a bone in it!!! Not a tiny little bone, but this sucker measured at least 2 inches. How does someone rolling up a taco miss that! Miss Hoffman, great concept- but the implementation, not so much. Won't be recommending this any time soon.

I was torn on this review between a 3 and a 4. Food trucks are a new and exciting foodie phase for Miami. Gourmet meals on wheels offer a seductive mouthwatering triple threat of good eats, low prices, and mobility. Rolling up to a parking lot in Midtown to find the black and pink tour bus meets food truck Latin Burger for the first time I was pleasantly surprised to see some friends already there. Fortunately, there was no line and we'd been scanning the menu online so it was a burger for me and I shared some fries with friends. The burger was great, with a double patty, hearty, filling, but not enormous enough to be gluttonous. the fries were good but next time I dipping into the sauces. While it was it a good burger I wouldn't rush back to sample the same burger over and over again so I wish the menu had a few more offerings including a simple dessert. Next time I'm going the taco tackling route as I heard raves about that. I love what this truck does for the community giving back to charity. I love that it makes simple, quality meals accessible. If it rolls into your vicinity you should go grab some grub. Please note: Cash only

Latin Burger & Taco is a traveling food truck whose location can be found by becoming their friend on Facebook or Twitter. Whenever they've been close to where I live, I've eaten there and never been disappointed. Their latin macho burger is delicious and the avocadolicious sauce, which is a Latin Burger original, is pretty damn tasty. Their fries are good too and I definitely recommend eating those with Latin Burger's unique (and delicious) guachup sauce. The few times I've had Latin Burger, I've had to eat my meal using the back of my car as a table, which doesn't really appeal to me when it's windy/blazing hot. However, you can always, you know, take your meal HOME and eat it. Next time, I'm going for their pulled pork tacos - yum!

Alright, last time I went to Latin Burger it was a bit of a let down. Stay with me here, though, because they did fix every little thing. Okay, so on my last visit, they didn't put onions or japaeños on our burgers, OR any red pepper mayo. These three things are key elements to a Latin Burger, and we were extremely let down. We immediately told Jim, the owner, and he apologized and made us three more burgers for free (which STILL didn't have onions or jalapeños). Turns out they had ran out of condiments, but didn't tell the customers. Jim didn't know, and he was pretty infuriated. He apologized over and over, while giving us the free burgers. We went about a week after, and everything was fine (they gave us more free burgers and tacos, to make up for the mistakes last time). As I write this review, I'm finishing up my remaining fries and licking the seasoning clean off my fingertips, as I wash everything down with an ice-cold Coke. I can't help but say how satisfied I was with this visit to Latin Burger and Taco. They were near my house (the closest they've ever been), on Coral Way and 87th. They were doing some kind of World Cup promo with T-Mobile, but I didn't care. I was here to have my burger and decide whether or not Latin Burger was still in my good graces. HELL YES, they were. When we got there, I was worried, since Jim wasn't around, and he usually has things under control. The guy at the truck window took my order (Robert is his name, I think). I got a macho burger, pulled pork taco, and fries. My brother got the same, and since it was a large order, we had to wait a couple of minutes. After about a 10 to 15 minute wait, our order came through. I asked Robert for some Guachup (their delicious guava/ketchup fusion, which I love) and he said it was gonna cost $0.25 extra. I was fine with that and told him to give me a couple. When I went to give him a dollar for the extra sauce, he said "Nah, don't worry about it." Nice. Free sauce. He also gave us some free sodas, saying that it was part of the whole T-Mobile thing going on. We decided to take the food home. I tore into the pulled pork taco first, and it was delicious. The pork was tender, the sauce was rich and consistent. All the while I was digging into my fries, which were loaded with seasoning (my brother's were not, so we mixed 'em for a better distribution of seasoning). Now on to the macho burger. Wow, it was beautiful. The cheese was perfectly melted, some even came on to the aluminum foil. The meat was tasty and fresh, and the onions were nicely caramelized, with a hint of spice from the jalapeños. Latin Burger and Taco, you survived my final test after letting me down last time. I'll be paying you another visit soon, just don't forget those onions while you're grocery shopping. Please.

I haven't dove deep enough into the menu to give the 5 star treatment. But let me tell you something!!!!! The Macho Burger the s@#t!!!! So good, tender juicy, done just right!!! So far this is the best thing I have had from a food truck!!!! My son has had the pulled pork twice and loves it?

One of the best burgers I ever ate. The quality of the meat it's very good, the mixture of the patty includes chorizo (Spanish sausage) which makes it different and tasty and the toppings were a welcome addition especially the caramelized onions; the seasoning on the fries (Cajun tendency) makes these also the best fries I ever ate. The price it's a good value for the great food. I definitively will try it again.

Heard the buzz about the Latin Burger truck so I was pleasantly surprised to be able to try it out at a special location today. It wasn't a regular stop - so I didn't have to deal with the huge crowds I keep hearing about. (you can find their daily stops on their Twitter and Facebook accounts) It all comes packed away in a paperbag, and there's something comforting about a bagged lunch like that. But no apple and Lunchables for me this time... but DELICIOUS fries and burger. Straight forward menu -burger or one of three tacos, plus fries. Would've gotten more stars - but wasn't asked how I wanted my burger cooked, and it was pinker than I can appreciate - and didn't get to try out any of the tasty-sounding toppings. But I *can* appreciate someone who uses her name to help out people - read up on who works for Ingrid Hoffman in this truck, and you'll want to patronize Latin Burger just for that reason!

This place is tremendously overrated. 5 Guys beats this any day. The fries have seasoning but not too much steak. The burgers to bread ratio is off with way to much bread for the burger. Much ado about nothing.

It was a happy coincidence that I saw the Latin Burger truck in at Art Basel in Wynnwood today because I had been craving a burger all day. I ordered the Latin burger and it was huge, meaty and tasty. The caramelized onions and melted cheese really come through, but it seriously needed some sauce. I didn't see any of the red- pepper or avocado sauce on the burger as the menu had advertised and it really needed it. Fries were soft and crispy, but I wasn't a fan. It tasted like the were rolled in chili powder and I needed ketchup. While the burger was well priced a $6.75, drinks were definitely overpriced at $2 for a bottle of water or can of soda.

This is just another food truck i totally recommend! I love waiting for this truck every tuesday as well. The food is amazing! Burgers are full of flavor. Im not that much of a fan of their tacos but the burgers and fries you cant go wrong with that. The tacos are a little too bland and dont really have much going for them other than the sauce in them. Thats pretty much it. The burgers however, they are just too amazing. I love that they have the burgers in mini size because the regular size ones are so big. I think thats great and the minis are only 4$ THAT AWESOME AND A GREAT DEAL. I love this truck. My only complaint is that the wait to receive your food is a long wait. But i mean that cant be helped really since there are just sooooo many people ordering from them at the same time. So get there early!!!

The Latin Burger and Taco truck frequently parks on a route that I regularly drive by, so I recently decided to give them a try, not knowing anything about celebrity-chef Ingrid Hoffmann (or her connection to Latin Burger & Taco) when I saw the truck for the first time. I tried only the Latin Macho burger with avacadolicious sauce. It was filling, but there was nothing about the tastes that were particularly memorable or that would have me hunting down the truck for a return visit. Call me a rube, but I honestly would have enjoyed a burger from one of the chain restaurants much more. I can't comment on how the tacos taste, as I haven't had any, but I saw a couple of other customers' orders, and they looked very small. You'll probably need to order several if you are hungry and have an average appetite. The staff were very friendly. I like the idea of Latin Burger and Taco, but I don't think the current offerings are appealing enough to turn me into a regular customer. If it weren't the novelty of a roving burger/taco stand and the celebrity-chef connection, I don't think there'd be half as much excitement about Latin Burger and Taco.

In my quest to find the perfect burger I stalked Latin Burger for a while on Twitter to find their nearest location. Luckily after only a few days of waiting they were in my Midtown neighborhood and I stopped in for a bite. Food Network chef Ingrid Hoffman created Latin Burger and is the creator and you can find the recipe of the burgers on Food Network's website. I only had the chance to try the burger and it was a nice filling burger. All burgers come with caramelized onions and jalapeno relish and red pepper Mayonnaise. This gives the burgers a spicy taste. I wasn't saying thinking it was the best burger ever but it's a nice contender when compared to everything I've had before I'm hoping to come back one day to try the tacos.

The burger is simply out of this world. The fries are very good too. For that alone it's worth 5 stars HOWEVER some things could use improvement. a) the tacos are not much to speak of. Pulled pork is pretty good but the others are lacking in flavors. b) easier access to sauces (and containers for them) like guachup and the hot sauce. I understand it's difficult to set up when the hordes of burger lovers attack the truck, but this would be a nice touch c) We need another truck so we can have more locations, and please come to Westchester more often!

I had the Chicken Mole taco while the Latin Burger truck was at FIU Biscayne bay campus. It was very good and not like any other taco i have had before. a very soft tortilla rolled around a large spoon-full of pulled chicken with a lightly sweet lightly spicy sauce mizture. they threw in some long diagonal cut green onions and a few roasted peanuts giving the taco more appetizing color and breaking up the taco with textures. Service was quick but a little sloppy, but i guess you should expect that given the situation.

five words: latin macho burger adobo fries If you haven't followed the food truck mania, what are you waiting for? They're like any foodie's fantasy...screw those that say "Don't reward yourself with food" - I DO! So on this particular night, I bought a latin macho burger. Now, it's not just any burger, prepare yourself for 2 patties filled with chorizo, chuck & sirloin and oaxaca cheese..I asked for no onions and I'm giving them 4 stars because they were out of their avocadolicious sauce; sad but true. On another note, I ordered a large order of fries & trust me when I say, I left a few because I couldn't breathe anymore. Don't let the burger's size fool you! You will be stuffed!! Go like them on facebook, follow them on twitter, whatever you have to do...go do it now!

I finally made it to the truck, parked at the Busy Bee Car Wash; 107 and Biscayne. They were closing so it was a bit rushed. Latin Beast Burger (with pulled pork); very tasty. Chicken Mole Taco and crispy fries were very good. The guy running the truck was a character. Next time, I hope to have more time to try more things... Miami,...take a page from LA and NYC's book, more high-end food trucks please!

Wooo! This burger doesn't mess around! I was fortunate enough to catch em before they left the food truck rally at the Herd Rock and did not regret it. Well, maybe a little...it's one of those burgers that makes you feel bad about yourself in the morning, but darn it it's worth it! Nice and juicy beef, excellent seasoning, everything a burger is meant to be.

I finally caught up with the Latin Burger truck today on US1 and 27th Ave. and decided to get the Latin Macho burger, 3 different tacos and fries to share with my husband. I couldn't help but say "WOW" as I took my first bite of that burger! It was very tasty, the chorizo added a great touch to the burger. I think they forgot the caramelized onions but it was still really good. The chicken mole taco was pretty good and even had some peanuts. I think this might have been my favorite of the 3. Our food took long because I think the guy forgot our order, but I can forgive them that because it was so damn good and because the owner was very friendly and chatted with us while we waited. I think this burger/taco truck idea is great and I can't wait to find them again.

I tried this food truck because...to be honest...the other trucks simply scared me. Considering that I like Mexican food and eat it on a regular basis, I was very impressed with the selection at Latin Burger. I ordered the Chicken mole taco, chicken tomatillo and pulled pork taco, they were delicious. The line was a bit long but well worth the wait!

After trying burgers at almost every other truck there is in Miami I have to say that the Latin Macho is number one in my book.

I am a big food truck fan and was so excited to hear of at least 5 new food trucks worth checking out with Latin Burger being one. I have tried food trucks in Austin, TX and NYC so maybe my expectations are too high, but fortunately it was three of us experiencing it for the first time so my comments are not based on my own opinion. Let me start with what I think is going well - I think it is great that they have a location commitment at Shell Lumber, for those of us in the Downtown area it is a quick lunch stop. I think the design and presentation of the truck is eye catching and funky, I have even caught it on the road. Yet I wish the menu were larger and even written on part of the truck to make it easy to read, had there been a crowd when I went I would of had to get close to strangers to see what was available. I understand why they look to limit the menu and their food overhead but I thought the menu could use a little more variety. We ended up with two macho burgers, the pulled pork sandwich and an order of fries. My pulled pork sandwich was not really ideal - the envision of pulled pork says BBQ and succulent meat. My pork was mushy and more vinegar in flavor than savory and I found the bread smelt moldy and it took away from the experience of eating it. My husband and his boss both had the hamburgers and felt that while they were ok, they were not something they would rush back for. The fries were basic. Thankfully for us there were not other customers at that time so we we had the bar on the side to leisurely eat at. I guess for me, a food truck is suppose to offer unique twists on food, maybe even go beyond the traditional thoughts on street food, hence why I was disapointed with the experience. The pulled pork probably is better in a taco, but when I asked the staff if it was like a BBQ they said yes and it definetly wasn't. Would I say try? Maybe - if you are looking for a different experience, but don't have high expectations, or think that the service will be quick. even though we were the only ones there it took 20 minutes to get our food. Hopefully they work out the glitches and add new menu items that will encourage a repeat visit.

This use to be an amazing burger but they started using lower quality cheese, meat as well as the buns. They also lost some of their better cooks.

I'm not letting this slide because of the somewhat- awesome concept. Ok ,food truck that you can track down using Twitter--serves fries, burgers, and tacos....i admit that you have to try this...try it ONCE and then never again. you'll see why. I had a bunch of guy friends talk this up--maybe they are used to eating in fear...seriously, the meat reminded me of something you'd be warned about while watching the slaughter houses in Food Inc. or read about in a New York Times article about bacteria in toxic meat paralyzing a 22-year-old dancer... It was scary...i actually thought, if I bite into this...will I get a stroke? I did eat some of it...then stopped...because I hated myself. The fries were also way too salty and overseasoned (how do you not get fries right?) You'll most likely have to eat this in a hot parking lot and pay in cash (now that i think back to it...it was rather pricey too, at least for what you get)... Do it once if you want to feel like a slum-dog for the day...then never again.

After hearing about the Latin Burger craze, I saw via Twitter that the Latin Burger truck would be at the Shell Lumber on US-1 and 27th Avenue and decided to make a pit stop for lunch. Little did I know that I would wait almost 30 minutes for a burger and fries! When I arrived there was already about 25 people there waiting for their food, and tons more eating in their parked cars. I knew the food HAD to be good after reading all the reviews on Yelp! and seeing everyone wait patiently. I ordered the Macho Burger, some fries and the guache sauce (which my cousin recommended). The seasoned fries with the guache sauce were pretty good...I couldn't stop eating them! The burger was very tasty as well. I will say though that I might've waited to long until I ate the burger because the bun was really soggy...but it still tasted good. I liked that the burger had two patties, the caramelized onions were also really good. All in all, I thought the food was good but I wasn't as wowwwed as I had hoped. I guess everyone had hyped it up so much. To me, the meat patties weren't very seasoned...they actual meat was on the bland side I thought... which is why I wasn't as crazyyyy about it. I'll definitely be following Latin Burger's location closely so that I can try the tacos next time. Can't wait!

The burgers here are delicious! And the owner (Jim) is very nice!! The fries are good and the guatchup sauce is perfect for fry dipping! The avacodolicious is also a really good sauce. I have tried all 3 tacos and i am NOT A FAN. The pulled pork was OK. But the other two were flavorless and gross. It kinda felt like I should be feeding it to my dog. They only take cash, which can be a pain in the ass. They are a pretty new business and I think with time they will only get better. I have eaten here at least 4 times and will definitely be going back. Even though the tacos are garbage the burgers save the entire operation!

So far I have tried two things from this truck...the Latin Macho burger and fries with dipping sauces. That burger was juicy, bursting with flavor and definitely exceeded my expectations! The pimento mayo added a perfect flavor to the sandwich that didn't compete with the two Chorizo-infused patties cooked well done to a nice sear on the outside. Put it on a Martins hamburger bun and top it with Oaxaca cheese and you have a winner. The fries were a little less special, just frozen fries with a tasty adobo seasoning, but they were crispy. The "chunky avocado" dipping sauce was pretty lame (it was just chopped avocados), while the "gauchup" was much more successful. The staff weren't memorably bad, which is South Florida's equivalent to good service. I would definitely come back for the Macho burger, although I would probably get fries from another truck.

Love the Macho Burger, but go for the Jr (single patty) so that you have room for the FRIES - which are AMAZING! Just tried the Tacos; the BBQ pork taco is the best (nice mellow zing of flavor), Fish is good (fried - not my pref but still good) & chicken (had little flavor, but nice).

dont be fooled. 3 stars means A-OK. in other words, i like it but i would not say its the best burger ever or anything. i can see how people could follow the truck. cause the burgers are good but i would not chase it down. $9 for a burger and fries. good sauces. very modest $100,000 truck. they dont take credit cards.

MACHO MACHO MACHO burger... I finally had latin burger sober. The macho burger had two patties, peppers and a few other ingredients. The burger was good, nothing out of this world. I did get there late they were already packing up so maybe thats why my burger wasn't as tasty. The french fries are a love hat thing. I like the seasoning for a bit and then I don't. I will have to try these guys out again to have a final verdict.

Tips to enjoy this latest, curious craze: - I have found them to be as punctual as anyone else in Miami (meaning, not very), but... - ...don't go too late or you'll be waiting behind 30 people before you can order. - The burger is a great tasting patty, but also spicy; if you're not into that, request they hold the jalapenos. - The burger is $6.25, which is expensive and not a full meal, so order at least one of the tacos as well; I had the chicken tomatillo, which was a very good, light and fresh contrast to the "Macho" burger. - As other reviewers noted, they do not get the orders correct all the time; I got my burger with red pepper mayo (correct) as did my friend (incorrect; he ordered it with the avocado sauce). - Make sure you have somewhere close by to scarf down your meal, or you will do what we did and sit on the ground of the parking lot and eat. - No, it's probably not entirely sanitary, but they don't call these "roach coaches" for nothing... - The whole process (following them on Twitter, driving out there, standing in line, etc.) is fun the first time, but I probably won't do it again, especially as we draw closer to summer - unless Ingrid is on the truck, which she is known to do.

I've heard a lot about this food truck and finally had the chance to try it out. We ordered the 3 combination tacos. The chicken tacos were okay, but the pulled pork taco was amazing! Next time i have to try the burger. I like the idea that it's not only in one spot. Kinda like "Where's waldo".

Deelish! Met all the expectations I had from reading the reviews. Still craving the fries. The pulled pork and burger were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Highly recommend!

I would consider Latin Burger & Taco to be one of the original mobile institutions. A limited menu full of heavy hitters, the Latin Macho is probably the juiciest burger I've ever had, a trio of proteins with chorizo, sirloin & chuck burger. The mix of chorizo adds a fatty dimension that most burgers are just missing. Also with toppings like avocadolicious sauce this truck brings a damn good burger to a very competitive scene.

About an hour ago I ate a delicious burger from a truck! Guys in the truck were really working hard and keeping the people happy. They ran out of the BBQ pulled pork sandwiches so the I ordered the burger with 2 patties and the seasoned fries. Both taste really good and filling. But the total price was $13! A little too expensive.

Great burgers! but just stick to them. The tacos are as good as any mediocre tex mex joint wraps...don't call them tacos please.

  • Sergio F.

The macho is delicious, but the fries were just ok. Will have to try the tacos next time. If all goes well I'll bump the review. The biggest issue I have with Latin Burger is that the wait for the food is nearly unbearable. The burger IS very good, but not quite sure its worth the wait. Get to the truck early or late, but avoid the lunch rush.

While I wasn't won over by the tacos, the burger is quite good and a solid deal if the truck is in your area. The chorizo and caramelized onions used by this mobile food truck make the burgers savory and addictive . The tomatillo chicken taco was the best of the three, whereas I found the mole and bbq pork tacos to be somewhat bland and the flavors not quite there. It would also be better if they offered these with corn instead of flour tortillas, but 3 of these will fill up all but the hungriest diners. Check them out if they're in your area, they can only get better with time.

I enjoyed my macho burger, a little less on the chorizo would have been nice. But they need to chill out on the price gouging! $8 a burger from a rolling kitchen?? That's a $2 raise from last year. I'm going to move on from this truck to the next one that's parked in the next spot over with better prices.

Update ************ Decided to return to Latin Burger today since they were back in Ft Lauderdale for lunch. This time, I decided to give the tacos a try. I got the "three amigos", which is one of each type of taco that they serve. They were good, but didn't blow my mind. The addition of peanuts in the chicken mole taco was nice but the mole sauce itself wasn't particularly impressive. I ate at a mexican place in LA last month that served tacos that were out of this world. The tacos at Latin Burger are not in that league, but would suffice if you are not in a burger mood. But I still stick with my 5 star ratings, because the Macho Burger rules. If you go, go with the burger .. and the guachup for the fries.

Ok, I tought it deserves an update from me here, the first time I tried this place I went for the tacos as I stated with a complete disapointment, I have been here a couple of other times and tried the latin macho burger and it is real good, I really think they should develop some more burgers and focus on this and scratch with duck tape the taco word from their truck. The Burger is done with chorizo is really tasty, you wont be dissapointed.

I have sinned today. Been good all week, keeping to the sacred code of eating healthy (veggies, greens, lean meats....air) but honestly, I could not be more grateful to have sinned with the Macho Burger. It hit the spot so good, I threw all the rules out and went back to try the tacos. Seriously, though... the burger's where it's at. The tacos... eh... they're alright... but next time instead of tacos, I'll just grab the burger and maybe if I'm feeling extra sinful, the fries.

Excellent tacos and latin burger. Word of warning: just because it's in a truck doesn't mean it's fast food! My order took almost a half hour to be handed over... that's a half hour of standing around in the sun on Biscayne Blvd! But if you're not in a rush- totally worth it. Delicious!!!

Quick review on LB&T. Great burgers and fries. Meat is seasoned perfectly and even though they have to cook it medium-well, the meat is still juicy. Fries are tasty with their special herb seasoning. Haven't had their tacos yet but that's next on my list. I'm definitely a fan, but last 2 times I ordered the Macho, they got my order wrong. Come on guys, don't let me down. Hopefully 3rd times a charm.

Jim, Ingrid and the rest of the gang have one of the best burgers I've ever had. I love the idea of the mobile truck, so that they can "reach the masses". The price doesn't bother me ($6.25 for a burger), b/c of the quality of the ingredients (I watched them bringing the fresh stuff right to the truck today).

food trucks.. hard to stay away!!! want to try them all!!! our nephew had spoken to us of this one. on a lazy friday nite off we went in search of it... it was stationed at peacock park in coconut groove... immediately as you get closer your nose picks up the delicious mouth watering aroma of juicy meat sizzling on a hot grill!!!! we were brave and went with the Macho Special - burger with the works and seasoned fries for $8.00!!! not a bad deal! burger patties it self are not huge but a nice portion and even more so cause you get 2 per burger. Their menu states meat is cooked med/well - i asked for well done and it was cooked nicely. the bun was warm and soft. this burger is a 3-5 napkin burger!! its juicy and well seasoned. its sauce and grilled onions where a nice flavorful addition to the good burger!!!! the fries, oh boy!! these require at least 5-6 napkins for itself (or if you really don't care, lots of finger licking!!!) yummy seasoned fries!! cooked just right... and portion size good enough to share with someone!!! we enjoyed the burger & fries and most of all the guy taking the orders, super nice person too!!!! good food, worth following to site!!!!
